Rosa's Thai Cafe Victoria – London Reviews and Things To Do

Rest assured you’ll find all of your favourites still on the menu as well as some brand new dishes to keep things fresh.

The menu helpfully highlights its winning dishes in case you’re overwhelmed with choice as we were!

Crispy marinated chicken wings come with a spicy sweet chilli dip to add extra warmth, whilst the Thai sausage is packed full of spices, making it the most flavoursome version we’ve tried for some time!

Although the main menu does feature a lot of meat heavy options – one of our favourite dishes of the evening has to be the Butternut Squash Red Curry – simply delicious with healthy garlic brown rice!

Punchy Thai flavours collide with ingredients sourced as locally as possible, from British beef and lamb to Thai basil grown in London.

reservations

The food was lovely however the service was poor.

I spoke to the restaurant on the phone before my booking stating I was running late and they claimed that they were unaware of my booking after I explained I had a booking confirmation they claimed they would fit me in.

On arrival they once again claimed that I did not have a booking and when I explained I had booked online and spoke to someone on the phone 20 minutes previous they argued that I must have phoned or booked the wrong Rosa's.

Eventually they seated us however I do not believe I should have had to go through such a palava when I clearly did have a booking and there must be an issue with their booking system.

It put me and my party in a bad mood before we had even sat down which was a shame because when the food came it was delicious.

The menu is simple and full of Thai classics, such as curries and satay.

As for our other main dish, my date convinced me to try the Pad See Ewe (Stir Fried Flat Noodles) even though I had a huge craving for Pad Thai.

I’ve always been a big fan of Thai milk tea (if you haven’t tried this before, do yourself a favour and get some – Rosa’s Thai Cafe serves this as well) so I decided to try it as an ice cream.

It came topped with a few peanut bits, which I thought was a nice Thai touch to it.

Rosa’s Thai Cafe was a great place to get Thai food, and the best part is that they have multiple locations, so you’re never too far for your next curry or Thai milk tea craving.

Rosa’s is a small, informal space where relaxed dining is put at the forefront of the Thai experience.

At first glance, the menu offers up all your traditional Thai favourites, crispy spring rolls and nutty chicken satay to start, or perhaps a traditional spicy sausage, grilled in the northern style tickles your tastebuds.

Masaman red curries, stir fries and fried rice make up the offering as main dishes, and come served as delightful as they taste.

What’s surprising about Rosa’s is the choice they offer for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free diners, with every request taken into consideration, and a separate menu.

Knowledgeable about their food and menu, and eager to help you with your choices, the women at Rosa’s were charming and accommodating to our every need (having a vegan in the fold isn’t always so easy).
